Administration
Ensures efficient office administration procedures.
Ensures that all personnel records are maintained, filed and updated in the HR System.
Ensures Human Resources documents are properly routed with strict accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintains and updates manual and computerised filing system.
Provides accurate and updated HR reports of employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
Maintains all records and information.
Complies with hotel policies and procedures.
Prepares Leave and absenteeism reports in a timely manner.
Prepares letters of offer; assist in new employee orientation.
Customer Service
Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.
Financial
Compiles and maintains personnel records by performing the following duties: Records accurate employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, Leave, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason in File.
Marketing
Assists the Human Resources department with the compilation, implementation and upkeep of the following employee communications – Employee Handbook, Monthly Human Resources Activity Schedule, Employee Notice Boards.
Operational
Liases with the local Labour authority for all related matters as assigned by Human Resource Manager.
Liases with the local Health Insurance & Social Insurance authority for all related matters as assigned by Human Resource Manager.
Assists in checking the food quality and cleanliness.
Assists by checking to ensure all employee facilities are maintained within standards, ie. Employee Locker Rooms, Employee Restaurant, employees’ smoking area.
Assists in recruitment activities, prepares and posts vacancy announcements, contacts applicants for screening interviews; screens applications and resumes; arranges interviews appointment and refers suitable candidates to Department Heads; checks and documents applicant references.
Assists with the coordination of the employee recognition programs.
Assists by checking to ensure all employee facilities are maintained within standards, i.e. Employee Locker Rooms, Employee Restaurant, employees’ smoking area.
Assists and participates in all Human Resources activities.
Personnel
Ensures a strong professional relationship with all levels of employees within the hotel, taking an active interest in nurturing and developing employees whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
Other Duties
Attends and contributes to all Meetings as required.
Willingly attends hotel training sessions as scheduled to improve skills and knowledge.
Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in employee and industrial relations, understanding and strictly adhering to Rules & Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the hotel’s policies concerning fire, hygiene and health & safety.
Ensures high standards of personal presentation & grooming.
Maintains an update list of applicants and applicant files.
Exercises responsible management and behaviour at all times and positively representing the hotel.
Ensures and practices the utmost protection of office’s confidentiality.
Responds to requests to undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties and to changes as dictated by the hotel, industry and company.
