Administration and management of Windows NT servers (create new users, check event log, upgrade software, Microsoft exchange setup and maintenance, check daily backup, restore on demand, archived data on internet, CD-Rom)
Administration and management of windows workstations: install/update software, support and help-desk for users, troubleshooting, routine checks, monitor software installations, report illegal software use/installations.
Administration of the on board PMS & POS System
Network distribution rack: patch connections as required.
Plan network extension: office network to be extended into additional offices. Arrange cabling, work out specifications, get quotations from store manager, supervise installation of hardware, software installations and workstation setup.
Arrange repairs of malfunctioning hardware with supplier(s).
Arrange purchase of new equipment through established suppliers.
Follow procedures and routines for purchasing equipment and software: request quotations, get written approval, sign delivery note, check delivery, report discrepancies,approve invoices before payment.
Keep inventory of hardware and software up-to-date. Monitor software licenses status
Ensure compliance with license agreements. Responsible for no unlicensed software is in use.
Upgrade software: check out available upgrades of software in use. Always look out for ways to increase productivity, pre-select, evaluate and propose to management for purchase.
System maintenance log: keep and update a logbook of system maintenance routines, frequent faults, along with solutions to problems.
Coordinate support for accounting software and electronic banking software.
Full mastery of mission-critical applications: NT, MS exchange server, MS outlook, MS office, Internet explorer, Corel draw, vision, Adobe acrobat, Front-page, Stock control software, Invoice manager, Human resource database.
Is responsible for department weekly roster, staff attendance, staff holiday plan according to hotel’s business and activity in order to avoid the overtime, annual leave/compensation outstanding.
Is requested to involve, co-operate and support to the other departments which related to the hotel’s activities at anytime necessary.
Operations:
1. Manage information technology and computer systems
Control all the operational system for the day to day.
Check operational documents like EDP logbook.
Check the list of computer backup.
Check that tasks are accomplished accurately by the staff.
Check the list of computer maintenance.
Check all PCs are using the right software and licence.
Check the email server is working in order.
Control and prevent any attack from outside to hotel computer system.
Work with partner to fix any issues from PMS and other systems (Fire Alarm, PABX, Water treatment).
To analysis any risk can be effective to the systems.
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
2. Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
Be familiar with all hardware and software and network operating system
Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
Provide individual training and support on request
Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
3. Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access
Troubleshoot all technology issues
Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
Research current and potential resources and services
Provide network access to all staff and students
Install work stations
Connect and set up hardware
Load all required software
Provide network accounts and passwords as required
Monitor security of all technology
Install and maintain Foolproof and passwords
Input and maintain IP addresses
Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.
Ensure installation of lock out programs.
Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate
Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
Financial:
Control accounting account.
Ensure the departmental budgets are strictly adhered to.
Control and Input the budget into PMS system.
To help departments to build any report as they needed.
Ensure all the revenue report is running as well.
Human:
To create a good working atmosphere and efficient cooperation in his department.
To implement and monitor effective employee relations and motivation programs in the hotel.
To develop and implement programs to ensure employee and guest security and safety.

- At least 5 years experience in IT subject
- Fluency in English
- Graduated from University
