Who We Are The British Council is the United Kingdom's principal organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations and our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relations between people in the UK and in other countries. British Council Vietnam has a large operation including education, arts and civil society programmes, education marketing services, teaching centres and examination services, both in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
