Position Summary:The Documentation Clerk is responsible for managing import and export documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies. This role works closely with customs authorities, port officials, forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth clearance and timely delivery of goods. It also involves tracking shipments, maintaining accurate records, and staying updated on regulatory changes to support efficient logistics operations.Key Responsibilities:Carry out customs procedures for export and import goodsLiaise directly with Customs agencies, Port Authorities, and Forwarders to manage customs clearance and goods transportation.Draft and verify import and export documents such as Invoices, Packing Lists, Contracts, Certificates of Origin (CO), and Certificates of Quality (CQ), if applicable.Monitor order progress and shipping schedules; coordinate with the warehouse and production departments to arrange timely deliveries.Negotiate with logistics service providers to optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines.Maintain records, store documents, and prepare periodic reports related to import and export activities.Stay updated on new customs, import, and export regulations and advise management as necessary.Support other related tasks as assigned by management.
