The Sourcing Engineer is responsible for assisting our Sourcing department with identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to ensure the company receives high-quality materials, components, and services at the best value. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our Engineering team with CNC related tasks such as designing work holding fixtures, developing and implementing CNC machining processes and programs for various mechanical components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, CNC programming, and manufacturing processes.This role combines technical CNC machining and engineering knowledge with procurement expertise to optimize cost, quality, and supply chain performance. The Sourcing Engineer works closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with product and business requirements.Responsibilities:• Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers for critical components, materials, and services.• Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes and capabilities to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.• Support Engineering team with CNC related tasks such as CNC programming, fixture design and 3D CAD/2D drawings. • Manage supplier RFQs (Requests for Quotation), proposals, and selection processes.• Work with quality teams to resolve supplier non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability/ethical sourcing standards.• Review customer drawings, standards, and work with suppliers so that they fully understand the requirements before providing a quotation.• Collaboration with the supplier follow in the troubleshooting• Evaluating trading project’s drawing• Search for additional suppliers to perform services such as heat treatment and plating.
