Air Freight Operations Assistant Manager

Job SummaryResponsible for managing daily air freight operations while leading a team to ensure smooth, compliant, and cost-effective shipment handling. This role also works closely with airlines and partners to optimize capacity and service quality.Key Responsibilities• Manage and supervise daily Air Freight import/export operations (airport-to-airport & door-to-door)• Handle airline space booking, rate negotiation, and capacity planning• Oversee full set of air freight documentation (MAWB, HAWB, customs documents, etc.)• Monitor shipment status and ensure on-time delivery• Resolve operational issues (delays, offload, discrepancies, claims)• Ensure compliance with airline, customs, and security regulations• Maintain strong relationships with airlines, GSA, co-loaders, and overseas agents• Lead, coach, and develop team members to ensure SOP compliance• Handle customer escalations and provide professional service• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
