- In this role, the incumbent will assume full responsibility for promoting, selling and coordinating the successful materialization of Event Sales’ revenue and business opportunities, both wedding and social events as per the set sales targets/KPO
- Maximize dry events’ revenue, ensuring clients’ satisfaction and to capture businesses from competitor’s potential and loyal clients
- Establish new event sales programs to maximize the Section’s revenue. Coordinate with the Marketing & Communication Section, F&B Department, and Kitchen Department to develop suitable and competitive promotions in line with the current market trends
- Pre-qualified and targeted majors and clients, using the client’s database and developing appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategy to increase the Hotel’s market shares
- Response to received inquiries with personalized proposals within 24 hours and carefully follow up on client’s requirements as well as other standard elements of event organizing
- Follow up on business leads to close the deal and issue contracts within the Section’s set timeframe
- Conduct meetings, and site inspections and entertain individuals, relevant company representatives, government officials, and delegates as per personal work plan or whenever required
- Spend time in each function/event in charge to ensure that the function/event is managed well
- Handle all clients’ complaints and inquiries received courteously and efficiently; ensure they are reported, reviewed, and investigated thoroughly, following through to ensure problems are solved satisfactorily
- Maintain relationships with clients after events and inquiries for future business opportunities
- Stay abreast of industry trends by attending industry conferences/workshops and seeking out distribution knowledge
- Perform other related duties and special projects as required by Cluster DOSM or Cluster GM
