1. Directs and controls all subordinate Front Office staff to ensure that day to day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.
2. Co-ordinates with housekeeping to ensure that rooms are serviced according to guest requirements and vacant rooms are cleaned according to arrival schedules.
3. Controls and monitors the room inventory to maximize the hotel yield ensuring strategically controlled overbooking during peak periods.
4. Controls the maintenance and updating of guest history files and disbursement of relevant information ensuring guest requests and preferences are implemented whenever possible.
5. Co-ordinates the procedures involved in guest recognition programs including VIPs.
6. Provides guidance and assistance to Front Office supervisory staff helping them in the execution of their responsibilities and helping them to set their own goals and objectives
7. Oversees the service standards in all Front Office areas ensuring that they conform to the requisite standards and meet or exceed customer expectations
8. Prepares duty rosters, vacation planning and scheduling and public holiday scheduling
9. Assists in the preparation of the hotel’s annual budget, and helps to maximize the yield of the hotel and control
departmental expenses.
10. Conducts periodic checks on villas and public areas to monitor standards of maintenance and housekeeping.
Conducts frequent front and back of house checks ensuring mise-en-place, service procedures, standards of cleanliness and hygiene, repair and maintenance, employee grooming, and manning levels are in order and takes appropriate action where necessary.
11. Assists in the maintenance of efficient administration preparing and submitting reports on time as directed
12. Assists in the selection, training and evaluation of subordinate employees
13. Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate employees
14. Responsible for the implementation and co-ordination of all Front Office related aspects within the Group’s Balanced Scorecard program and for the Group’s profit chain efforts.
15. Acts as a liaison between the Front Office Manager and Front Office supervisory staff appraising him/her of the situation and updating him/her on issues of importance

• At least 2 years in a similar role in 5-star hotel
• Good English Language skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of individuals
• Detailed knowledge of working practices of Front Office
• Strong administrative skills
• Working knowledge of computer systems
• Ability to cope with pressure
• Knowledge of Front Office computer systems and personal computer
• Working knowledge of local language and any other languages
• Proven track record in hotel of similar standard in similar capacity in Asia/Pacific
