As Assistant Human Resources Manager, you’ll make sure our employees are enabled and empowered through HR programmes in your hotel. You’ll also promote a positive team culture while ensuring our colleagues deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
People
- Direct/Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
- Train colleagues to make sure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Recommend or initiate any HR elated actions where needed
- Ensures clear lines of communication exist to disseminate information affecting employer - employee relations, employee activities and hotel policies and programmes.
- Participates in monthly Safety, Risk Management meetings
- Liaise with Trade Union for related employee activitives.
- Manage operation of clinic and nurse’ duty
- Handling employee relations, welfare and benefits such as, duty meal at canteen, birthday, welcome, farewell, recognition programs.
Guest Experience
- Assists the Human Resource Manager/ Director (HRM/HRD), where appropriate, in the development and preparation of the Hotel’s Strategic Plan, Marketing Plan and Goals Programme
- Maintains effective communications at all levels of management and staff.
- Assists in maintaining and creating a positive atmosphere within the hotel that allows for open two way communication that ensures morale and productivity reach the highest possible levels.
- Participates in developing and implementing programmes to ensure employee security and safety.
- Ensures all staff are aware of company benefits and make these available.
Financial
- Help create the department’s annual budget and the setting of departmental goals
- Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on manning/labour costs, salary and benefits related (healthcare, canteen, activitives….ect)
- Mitigate financial risks associated with employee relations issues
Responsible Business
- Familiarizes and enforces the IHG HR framework including systems of:
- IHG Annual Agenda
- Performance Management
- Performance Appraisal
- Colleague Heartbeat
- Employee Administration
- Team Succession
- Familiarizes and enforces related HR policies and procedures.
- Assist HRM/HRD manage Human Resource Department, ensuring compliance with all Corporate, area and hotel policies and procedures; and current local and government regulations pertaining to employment practices.
- Ensures that all staff abide by the hotel dress codes and hotel rules.
- May also serve as manager on duty (MOD) on request.
- May assist with other duties as assigned by management
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
1. Education: High school diploma / secondary education / equivalent
2. Service years in the field : 2 years’ related experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Service years in supervisor/manager level: 1-2 years preferred
4. Knowledge and skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality to the extent possible in all HR related matters
- Experience in managing company provided accommodation
- Good Communication skills and writing skills
- Knowledge of Local Labour and Employment Regulations.
- Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
6. Preferred (if required): Some college courses in Human Resources, Employment Law or related field preferred.
