- Follow the approved monthly duty roster schedule.
- Attend a pre-shift briefing fifteen minutes prior to shift commencement.
- Comply strictly with all established security and safety policy and procedures and familiarise with the standard operation manual.
- Consistently strive to meet and exceed defined performance standards (operational and behavioural).
2. Security officer training and coaching
- Attend all pre-organised departmental training sessions promptly.
- Record each attendance by signing attendance register at the completion of each session.
- Conduct any required private studying in preparation of test questions.
- Obtain or exceed minimum test performance standards.
3. Practice emergency drills
- Fully familiarise oneself with all emergency contingency plans, policy and procedures, manuals, etc
- Fully understand the role of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the ERT team leader and Crisis Management Team (CRT).
- Participate in all emergency drills (planned and unplanned).
4. Fire Safety
- Familiarise with all common fire hazards and fire precautions.
- Conduct routine fire safety hazard patrols of the hotel, e.g. obstructions in ire staircases
- and fire exits; fire doors propped open.
- Practical use of fire extinguishers and hose reels.
- Always actively research updates to understand emergency systems and equipment (Meeting point, location of fire extinguishers, hose reels, location of hotel emergency exits).
5. Access control
- Carry out stringent vetting of visitors; contractors and suppliers, scrutinising all forms of identification.
- Registration of all visitors, contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure that all hotel property is accompanied with an authorised gate pass/ asset disposal form before permitting release from the hotel.
- Conduct bag searches of all contractors; suppliers, etc. in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Report to a supervisor all irregularities and suspicious person(s) entering the hotel.
6. Crime prevention and detection
- Convert and overt surveillance of critical areas (e.g. monitor unattended baggage at the hotel reception, etc.)
- Identify and reports irregularities and possible crime suspects.
- Proactively provide crime prevention advice to all guests, patrons and staff when necessary (e.g. guest leaving valuables unattended in hotel area, etc.)
7. Crime reporting and victim support
- Offer reassurance to victims of crime and ascertain if first aid is required.
- Obtain full information regarding the circumstances of the crime and circulate description of suspects and last seen location.
8. Responsible for the operation of all security system; reports system failures, faults and damages to the shift supervisor.
- Check panic/ hold-up alarms (disable room and toilet, etc.).
- Check guard tour system.
- Check lift operation and alarm.
- Check escalator operation and alarm.
- Check door alarms (fire exit doors) and guest room door.
- Check CCTV system (DVR, cameras, lenses, cables, etc.).
- Check Walkie-talkie communications.
- Check Mobile phone communications.
- Check Flashlights.
9. Compliment the hotel’s guest service efforts in delivering superior service to all hotel guests, patrons and visitors.
- Consistent proactive delivery of guest service in all elements of the security operation.
- Handle guest queries efficiently and effectively to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Proactively carry out direct guest service activities such as door opening and greetings, luggage assisting, escorting guests to outlets, etc. and set a positive example to security officers.
- Enhance guest satisfaction through personal contract with guests, cultivation and developing excellent guest relations.
10. Pool Safety
- Monitor and patrol the pool area, enforcing safety regulations.
11. Manning Operation
- Controlling on department asset (OSE, inventory, collateral…)
- Working on and managing budget to have effective finalcial decision
- Working with HR to make sure an appropriate management on manning guide
- Responsible for the quality of work of the LP department, observing and urging all members to work efficiently and responsibly.
- Together with the Engineering department, it is responsible for issues related to safety and security such as fire safety, rescue.
12. Others
- Maintain the highest levels of security; safety and guest service standards throughout the tour of duty for all hotel guests, patrons, visitors and hotel associates in accordance with established hotel policies.
- Comply strictly to the hotel codes of conduct
- Safeguard all information relating to the hotel, guests and corporate.

- At least 1-2 year working experience at same position.
- Can communicate well by English.
