To assist and follow the guidance of Director of People & Culture and People & Culture Manager with the direction of all aspects of the People & Culture division including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, training, workers’ compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees.
What you will do:
- Act as an objective 3rd party in employee counseling, problem solving or conflict situation and communicate to Director of People & Culture and People & Culture Manager any circumstances that may raise legal issues for the hotel.
- Conduct regular audits of insurance records, vacation and sick allowances.
- Maintain employment files and other records personally and through delegation in a detailed manner on paper and in the P&C computer system.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors while maintaining the confidentiality of P&C.
- Administer and train employees on behalf of P&C including but not limited to benefits, core and culture standards.
- Organize and supervise all employee recreation programs include holiday parties, children’s party, general meetings etc.
- Ensure that the cafeteria, employee entrance and lockers rooms are clean and orderly.
- Make sure the operation of People & Culture smoothly
- Ensure hotel management are educated, kept informed of changes and are compliant with all legal requirements.
- Manage the hotels People & Culture Information System, ensuring all data is up to date and the correct information entered to ensure payment of employee wages and benefits.
- Plan and oversee coordination of all employee relations activities.
- Support in learning & development activities.
- Provide counsel with managers regarding human resources related matters and practices.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.

Education: College education and above
Experience: Experience required by position is from two to four years of employment in a related position.
Skills and Abilities:
- Requires a general working knowledge of Labor laws.
- Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-Job or through a series of professional certifications.
- Requires knowledge of the ability to fluently operate computer equipment.
- Ability to fluently read, speak and write English.
- Training experience is an advantage.
