1. ABOUT THE ROLE
Coordinating the purchasing requirements of the resort and ensure all are met in a timely, cost effective manner, producing the most qualitive samples, at the minimal price. An effective Assistant Purchasing Manager utilizes professional and ethical relationships with suppliers of same values, to support the success of the Resort operation. This position is responsible for ensuring the implementing of purchasing policies and procedures.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITES
General
• To oversee and ensure the effective implementation of the tender system so that the continuous supply of quality goods and services to the resort is not compromised.
• To ensure the timely preparation of purchase orders so that all approved purchase requests can be ordered and the good delivered by the suppliers on the date needed.
• To conduct periodic market surveys in association with the Departments concerned to determine and/or validate the availability and prices of market goods.
• To coordinate and liaise with the Head of Department on all matters
• To keep track of all outstanding purchase orders to ensure that goods are delivered on time
• Primarily responsible to ensure that the best price is obtained for specified products and to ensure that supplier lead times will comply with resort requirements in order that there be NO out of stock situations.
Others:
• To visit and evaluate suppliers, to request quotations or bids, to negotiate prices and term, to place orders, to resolve problems, to follow up any outstanding delivery and activate any payment with resort current suppliers and potential suppliers.
• To cultivate a sound relationship with the Resort’s suppliers.
• Works closely with all departments of the Resort
• Other tasks assigned by Head of Department
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
• 3 years of related experience or more.
• Knowledge of merchandise being purchased.
• Candidates with Hotel experience and familiar with MC systems are preferred.
