As we expand operations across the UK and further afield, our mission is gaining momentum.The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to support us with our exciting and innovative product roadmap looking ahead. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of hands-on experience with strong expertise in building scalable, reliable, and high-performing backend services using Node.js (NestJS), MongoDB, and cloud-native/serverless technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimise systems that handle high throughput and mission-critical workloads. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js (NestJS framework).Build and optimise scalable data models and queries in MongoDB.Architect and implement serverless applications leveraging AWS Lambda and the Serverless Framework.Integrate and manage asynchronous workflows using Amazon SQS.Ensure performance, security, and reliability of distributed systems.Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to technical discussions/decisions.
