To perform with instruction from the Supervisor/Manager as to beverage service and set up completion. To ensure performance of beverage service and mise-en-place according to highest standards and training other bar attendant on how to mix drinks properly. Coordinate and execute daily work assignments as scheduled by the Supervisor/Manager. Responsible for creating & designing signature cocktails and maintains beverage costing as budget.
- To maintain beverage costs at levels established by the restaurant and department.
- To work and complete assigned tasks with optimum efficiency with colleagues.
- Interact closely with stewards and engineers for proper cleanliness and maintenance of all operating equipment and beverage related machineries for optimum performance.
- Maintain adequate supply of operating supplies and equipment and familiarize with operating procedures of machineries
- Must be familiarized with all resort policies and procedures in reference to training, safety and security.
- Must have full knowledge of beverages and cocktails in the bar and maintain the par stocks.
- Provide counter service to all guests in accordance to established standards of quality.
- Assist to serve beverage order at restaurant and poolside.
- Always be attentive to guest needs and complaints and take necessary action to ensure guests’ satisfaction within the parameters of the authority of the position.
- Report for duty on time, neatly groomed and in a clean and proper uniform. Do not consume any alcohol while on duty.
- Be familiarized with all beverage categories and preparations with correct usage of glassware and presentations.
- Fully responsible for the inventory management including beverage & bar equipment inventory.
- Track & follow near-expiry date items & slow-moving items with leader to have proper remedy based on restaurant operation.
- Always priority for short shelf-life beverage items and fresh items to avoid wastage.
- Ensure that all operating equipment and supplies are spotlessly clean and maintained.
- Use proper procedures before, during and after serving of beverage to guests in accordance to required standards.
- Participate with positive approach towards training and daily briefing.
- Ensure proper usage of operating supplies and equipment to reduce misuse and breakage.
- Ensure the keeping of bar counters clean and organized as to standards.
- Realize the importance of team spirit to ensure that fellow staffs are pursuing a unified standard of service.
- Ensure that beverage sales are properly processed through the Point of Sales register and cash is accounted for and balanced before the close of shifts.
- Participate in-group session to ensure creativities in the making of cocktails, mixed drinks and promotional drinks are achieved at optimum level.
- Must be familiar with beer and post mix reticulation process.
- Ensure that all beverage stocks are replenished prior to opening.
- Familiarized with ice machine procedures, glassware racking and glass washer procedures.
- Must be knowledgeable with the snacks service to better serve guests as needed.
- Participate with positive approach towards daily briefing and training.
- Read the communication file and notice board daily.
- Take over and hand over duties properly.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and a sense of pride in uniform and restaurant’s team.
- Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to the resort and department’s regulations outlined in the employee handbook and operations manual.
- Take lead in tailoring on the guest drinks, aiming to make each visit to our outlet as memorable and unique as possible. You acknowledge guests and remember drinks preferences; as well as their names and preferred seating.
- You have extensive knowledge about activities in InterContinental and the rest of Ha Long Bay, allowing you to give guests recommendations in order to optimize overall guest experience.
- You are responsible for meeting the HACCP standards and actively check cleanliness in both front and back of the house, to make sure standards are adhered.
- Always live up to the standards set by the InterContinental brand, by assuring you know the standard operating procedures and making sure that they are respected by the team.
- You know the Forbes Travel Guide Standards for restaurants & bars, while ensuring that the team delivers these standards as the minimum when serving guests.
- Pay attention to small details, which visually expresses in a spotlessly clean workspace, outstanding services and a well-groomed team.

Experience
Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred 1- or 2-years’ experience recommended .
