1. Produces one off reports for trend analysis in areas of management concern when requested.
2. Assists as required with the development of the Marketing Plan.
3. Coordinates with the Sales team, determine rate philosophy and structure.
4. Analyzes trends to be able to set daily and long-term goals for occupancy and average rates.
5. Identifies packaging opportunities in periods of high or low demand.
6. Production of status report, highlighting the busy and slow season, weekly, monthly or yearly and adjusting rates accordingly.
7. Downs loading of monthly regional corporate and travel agency statistics, guest history transactions.
8. Full analysis of all hotels in the competitive set.
9. Maintains a pricing strategy to meet hotel revenue management goals.
10. Oversees reservation sales to ensure business practices are consistent with the hotel revenue management goals.
11. Promotes and reinforce revenue management concepts through all departments in the hotel.
12. Regular competitor test calls.
13. Maintains the regional tracking database at hotel level.
14. Participates in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans.
15. Prepares monthly outlook/forecast reports.
16. Attends meetings as required.
17. Conducts development and performance reviews, identifies key personnel for further development and structured career patching.
18. Implements and maintains training systems to ensure that employees have the necessary framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.
19. Prepares work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation.
20. Oversees the selection and appointment of new employees within the department.
21. Conducts regular employee meetings to keep all employees informed.
22. Participates in the Hotel “Manager on Duty” program.
23. Ensures compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
24. Complies with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.
25. Actively promotes a work environment, which cares for guests and employees alike.
