Prepare Meat:
- Cut, trim, and prepare different types of meat (beef, chicken, pork, etc.) for cooking.
- Make sure the meat is ready to be used in meals, with the right portions.
Ensure Quality:
- Check that the meat is of high quality and safe to use.
- Dispose of any bad or spoiled meat.
Store Meat Properly:
- Keep meat fresh by storing it in the right conditions (cold storage).
- Label and rotate meat to avoid waste.
Maintain Cleanliness and Safety:
- Clean tools and work areas to avoid contamination.
- Follow health and safety rules to keep the kitchen safe.
Manage Inventory:
- Help order and keep track of meat supplies to make sure the kitchen has what it needs.
- Monitor meat waste to control costs.
Work with Chefs:
- Talk to chefs to make sure they get the right cuts of meat for their dishes.
- Assist in meal planning by suggesting meat cuts.
