CNC ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE:

• Develop and optimize CNC manufacturing processes by analyzing and resolving product development issues through data-driven problem solving, executing trial machining runs to ensure surface finish and dimensional accuracy, and delivering high-quality samples with complete PPAP documentation throughout the development phase.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop and validate CNC (5 axis) machining processes for carbon fiber/ composite parts (milling, turning, drilling, etc.).
• Define and optimize machining parameters (feeds, speeds, depth of cut, tool paths, coolant type, etc.).
• Create and update process documentation: Process Flow, Control Plans, Work Instructions (WI), and setup sheets.
• Conduct time studies and implement line balancing to improve productivity and cycle time.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and improve process capability.
• Develop and optimize CNC (5 axis) programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX,…).
• Select and validate cutting tools, holders, and fixtures suitable for part geometry and material.
• Manage and control tool life, tool inventory, and replacement strategies.
• Support maintenance and calibration of CNC machines, fixtures, and measuring equipment​
