- To develop an annual Communications programme for the hotel based on its business goals. Liaises with Marketing in targeting specific markets and developing the public relations strategies to reach these markets
- To work closely with the F&B department on restaurant and bar marketing needs and promotions
- To manage and direct the efforts of a Content Coordinator and PR/communication agencies and other suppliers/vendors contracted by the Resort, i.e. designers, printers, outside consultants.
MEDIA RELATIONS
- To manage media relations. This includes developing media contacts, planning press conferences and other press activities. To act as hotel’s liaison with media to promote good publicity and manage bad publicity.
- To manage the Resort’s online press room. This includes the creation of compelling content; the creation of story ideas and written/visual content that supports the Resort’s positioning; the preparation and distribution of newsworthy press releases / advertorial content to consumer, trade and influencer audiences. To manage the creation and maintenance of a media database. To track and report on coverage generated on an on-going basis
- To invite, develop itineraries for and host media, influencers, video crews and others on promotional familiarisation visits to the Resort
CONTENT
- To oversee/update content on the Resort’s websites, and, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and Revenue Management, listings on OTAs and other digital channels
- To manage the Resorts’s social media presence and content. In conjunction with Marketing Manager, develop calendar and ensure messaging and targeting generate optimal results (engagement, revenue, etc.)
- To co-ordinate hotel photo and video shoots and maintain the in-house image and video libraries
PROMOTIONS
- To develop and organize promotional activities, either in-house or with partners. To evaluate, plan and coordinate sponsorship opportunities
- To develop hotel gifts and giveaways

- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
- Service years in the field: 5
- Service years in assistant manager level: 2
- Knowledge and skills:
- Behavioural competencies
- Team player; ability to forge solid working relationships with peers, agencies and property based personnel
- Administrative and project management skills
- Able to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive in identifying road blocks to project completion
- Technical skills
- Project management experience; agency/vendor management experience desirable
- Digitally savvy: quick learner in CMS systems, social media management, photo and video production
- Familiarity with graphic design, terms, process
- Strong technical skills, including superior Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ability to learn new platforms
- Personal capabilities
- Fluently bilingual (English/Vietnamese) required: Speaking, reading and writing at a professional level. Additional linguistic ability a bonus
- International or global mind set
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge and keen interest in general consumer online trends
- Hospitality/travel, luxury brand or retail experience an asset
