Data Engineer

Job Purpose: Design, build, and manage Data Warehouse solutions. Ability to use ETL tools, and integrate/optimize data to enhance the performance of processes and data flows. Key Responsibilities:• Leverage knowledge of life insurance, finance, and current system functions to operate and develop the Data Warehouse system.• Design, build, and manage Data Warehouse solutions to support business analytics and reporting needs.• Database Management: Utilize expertise in databases such as Oracle and SAP HANA to optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing.• ETL Tools Usage: Implement and manage ETL pipelines using tools like IBM DataStage, Oracle ODI, and Oracle OBIEE.• Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse data sources into centralized platforms.• Data Pipeline Optimization: Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of processes and data flows.• Data Governance: Establish and adhere to data quality standards, ensuring compliance with best practices in the industry and organization. Monitor and audit data for accuracy, completeness, and reliability.• Problem Resolution: Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues in data processes and flows.• Strong understanding of database management, data modeling, and data integration techniques.• Proficiency in scripting languages and query optimization, package, procedure, and function development on Oracle is a plus.• Knowledge of big data technologies and cloud platforms like AWS is a plus.
