Designer

Knowledge & Skills• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (AutoCAD 2021) software. Familiarity with 3D modeling software required. Trimble Sketchup experience preferred. • Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) in a professional environment.• Experience using Procore as a project management tool an asset.• Familiarity with both Metric and Imperial system of measure• Basic math knowledge needed to calculate dimensions, and requirements in materials.• Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications a must.• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, deliver presentations, and demonstrate active listening skills.• Ability to multitask, organize project elements, and meet deadlines.• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.• Ability to be self-directed yet collaborative in dealing with customers and fellow employees.• Receptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstances. Experience• Minimum 3-5 years of drafting/design experience in architectural construction or fabrication industry. Experience with design for manufacturing an asset.
