JOB DESCRIPTION:
A DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing and automating the software development lifecycle. The primary role of a DevOps Engineer includes:
- Collaboration: DevOps Engineers work closely with development, operations, and testing teams to improve the software delivery process.
- Automation: They design and implement automated build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Helm
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): DevOps Engineers are responsible for continuously integrating code changes into the mainline and deploying them to production.
- Monitoring: They monitor the performance of applications and infrastructure, identify issues, and troubleshoot them quickly.
Security: They ensure the security of the application and infrastructure, and they implement security best practices throughout the software delivery process. - Infrastructure as Code: DevOps Engineers use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) techniques to automate the deployment and management of infrastructure.
- Scripting: They have experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
- Agile Methodologies: They are familiar with Agile methodologies and are able to use them to manage software delivery projects.
- Documentation: They write and maintain documentation of the software delivery process. Overall, the DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in improving software delivery, ensuring the reliability and security of applications, and optimizing the deployment of applications in the cloud.

JOB REQUIREMENT
- Strong knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
- Understanding of networking and security protocols.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like ELK, Prometheus, or Nagios.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
