I, OVERVIEW:
- Lead the detailed design, analysis, and optimization of electric motors, focusing on advanced motor topologies like Interior/Surface Permanent Magnet Motors (IPMSM/SPMSM), AC Induction Motors, and Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge motor technologies into EV powertrains, ensuring exceptional efficiency, performance, and reliability.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Conduct electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical analysis to ensure the design meets performance and durability requirements.
- Release detailed production documentation, including 3D models, 2D engineering drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials) lists, ensuring alignment with manufacturing processes.
- Ensure that motor designs adhere to manufacturing best practices, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Lead electric motor testing and validation activities on dynamometer test benches and perform real-world testing in vehicle prototypes to confirm performance metrics.
- Develop testing protocols to evaluate motor performance, efficiency, and reliability, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate with supply chain, vendor, and manufacturing engineers to ensure smooth integration of new motor designs into production lines.
- Manage vendor relationships for the procurement of critical components such as magnets, laminations, and other materials.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and design improvements to enhance motor performance while reducing weight, cost, and complexity.
- Explore innovative motor topologies, material advancements (e.g., high-performance magnet materials), and manufacturing techniques (e.g., backlack bonding, adhesive bonding) to improve motor capabilities
- Ensure seamless integration of motor designs with inverter and power electronics systems and broader EV powertrain architectures.
- Establish and maintain simulation workflows using advanced tools like Ansys RMxpert, Maxwell, JMAG, and MotorCAD to predict motor performance under various operating conditions.

Degree/ Qualification: Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Electromagnetic Circuit Design or E-Machine Design.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in electric motor design, analysis, and manufacturing with a focus on high-performance motors for electric vehicles (EVs).
- Proven track record in delivering electric motor projects from concept to production within a fast-paced product development environment.
- Proficiency in electromagnetic design and simulation software such as Ansys RMxpert, Maxwell, JMAG, MotorCAD, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience in working with permanent magnet motors, AC induction motors, and switched reluctance motors.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as laser welding, adhesive bonding, interlocking laminations, and thermal management techniques.
- Personal characteristic/ Work attitude:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and management.
- Willingness to continuously learn, adapt to new technologies, and take on challenging assignments.

Soft skills:
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information in presentations and reports.
- Competent with office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of electromagnetic motor theory, motor design
- Knowledge of advanced motor materials, including high-performance permanent magnets, low-loss core materials, and high thermal conductivity components.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and failure mode analysis.
- Awareness of industry trends, particularly in EV motor design
