As an Event Manager, you have to plan and organize promotional, business and social events. You will be responsible for running a range of events, ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. Events Manager plays a huge part in the success of a brand and organization.
As an Event Manager, you'll organize conferences, seminars and exhibitions as well as parties and corporate incentive trips. You will work on creating an event signature style which will promote balanced lifestyle, cultural awareness and promote brand recognition.
You'll overlook the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and often involves working as part of a team.
Responsibilities and tasks:
As an event manager, you'll need to:
- Understand the events market and identify the events concept for Balance Hospitality.
- Update and Propose Event package to the market.
- Liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements, propose and follow up with the contract process.
- Work with General Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Room Division Manager for all the related parts but not limited to: Recreation , teambuilding, Rooming list, events Packages to produce detailed proposals for events Banquet Event Orders (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Research venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire
- Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel)
- Liaise with Sales and Marketing teams to public and promote the event
- Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers and delegate packs
- Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
- Organize facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and the media
- Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed
- Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
- Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
- Research opportunities for new clients and events.
