Fire Protection Engineer

General Information• Position: Fire Protection Engineer (FPE)• Department: HSE• Reports to: HSE Manager / Assistant ManagerKey Responsibilities• Manage, operate, inspect, and maintain fire protection systems at the plant (fire alarm systems, automatic suppression systems, fire extinguishers, hydrants, fire pumps, sprinkler/foam/hydrant systems, etc.).• Develop, update, and implement fire protection and emergency response plans for the factory.• Conduct inspections and evaluate compliance with fire protection regulations in production areas, warehouses, offices, and auxiliary facilities.• Coordinate with local authorities and fire departments for inspections, drills, system design approvals, and acceptance testing.• Build relationships and act as the main contact point with multi-agency inspection teams and regulatory authorities regarding fire protection; prepare documentation and provide clarifications as required.• Provide in-house training for employees and fire response teams on equipment usage and fire emergency handling.• Record, report, and propose improvements to enhance the effectiveness of fire protection activities.• Participate in incident investigations, analyze causes of fire/explosion, and recommend preventive measures.• Manage records, documentation, and maintenance logs of fire protection systems in accordance with legal requirements and internal standards.
