The Production Technologist is responsible, in partnership with the company’s key manufacturing partners, and on behalf of Tonkin Products, work with the other team members to monitor production and standards in the contracted partner factories, ensuring the food safety, agreed standards during the production:• Daily monitor, control the production process of products at the factory in terms of technical standards and qualities• Provide notification and advice to involved parties on the technical and quality issues• Monitor progress of daily production, evaluate the quality of raw materials for production, semi-finished products, finished products at the factories• Inspect products before loading and/or shipments• Monitor SSOP of contracted Production, inspect the hygiene condition of each stage, production area, personal hygiene standards, equipment and tools in factories, intake water, pest control.• Monitor the production process and procedures as per contracted standards: materials, processing, packing, storing, loading• Ensure traceability during the production and packing processes.• Support the management team of the factory and QC team to supervise the production in order to limit the defects/reject of products, cross-contamination and recommend solutions and corrected actions if any problem• Provide recommendation on improvements in production process, procedures, technology including but not limited to assembling, vegetable handling, equipment etc• Check through the documentation of QC• Propose ideas on productivity and quality improvement, production process improvement.• Provide support in all necessary areas of our business and operations as required, even those not directly associated with their core roleAssist in and/or carry out administering, co-ordinating the production plan, tracker and/or database among involved parties including the frozen food producer, Vietnam team and UK team. * Key Success Criteria for the successful Candidate- 3+ years’ practical experience in modern food production environments.- Studied / trained abroad in food, beverage production/technology/science would be an advantage - Good written and spoken English and Vietnamese- Practical understanding and knowledge of the whole production process associated with the manufacture of foods.- Clearly understand food standards such as microbiology, physics and chemical, GMO, Allergens.- Strong ability to make risk-based judgements and recommendations.- Good ability to evaluate, assess qualities of seafood and vegetable raw materials, ingredients; semi-finished and finished products from the production stage to packing stage.- Have solid understanding of machine, equipment functioning principles, machine capacity - an advantage- Solid knowledge of HACCP and general technical approach to Food manufacture- Ability to proactively identify arising technical problems and recommend solutions.- A Practical experience in building and improving the technical system to fit the new purpose and contexts and requirements.
