Founding Engineer (Python/LLM/ReactJS/MongoDB)

The candidate should have 5–7 years of experience in a similar position.TECHNICAL MUST HAVE: Expert-level Python development experience with intermediate React Front-end experience, with a strong understanding of async programming and API design Previous experience scaling chatbots with multiple agents Proven experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) developing advanced, non-trivial chatbots that go beyond simple LLM API calls, incorporating complex function calling, multi-step workflows, and dynamic tool integrations. In particular: Good record with LLM fine-tuning experience to optimise chatbot responses accuracy Good record with latency reduction Strong debugging skills. You should be able to debug an issue by understanding its context and investigate multiple pieces such as LLM APIs, frontEnd and Backend to come up with the solution Good experience with LangSmith for debugging and optimising chatbot interactions, including how to optimise function-calling workflows in LLM-based applications Experience working with MongoDB for chatbot memory and data storage Have a sense of ownership and willingness to evaluate and experiment with cutting-edge GenAI tools for improved development workflows (trying out new DeepSeek APIs in our product sounds exciting to you? This is the job for you) Ability to think from a user's perspective, beyond just engineering tasks Experience integrating eCommerce APIs (Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce) SOFT SKILL ESSENTIALS: Strong organisational skills – You manage tasks effectively and document your work clearly.
