The Restaurant Supervisor plays a vital supporting role in daily front-of-house (FOH) operations at GAKU, our high-end Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant. Depending on performance and experience, the position may evolve into Assistant Restaurant Manager. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership potential, attention to detail, and an understanding of luxury hospitality service. English fluency is required due to our international clientele and team.
Located in a VIP gaming environment, GAKU serves highly demanding guests who seek luxury, theatrical dining experiences, and exceptional hospitality. This role requires dynamic service energy—more bold and performance-driven than traditional understated Japanese dining—while maintaining precision and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Support
• Assist the General Manager in daily FOH operations.
• Ensure service standards align with luxury dining expectations.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen–service flow.
• Uphold strict hygiene, health, and safety protocols.
• Serve as Manager-on-Duty (MOD) when GM is not present.
2. Guest Engagement
• Personally engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and tailored service.
• Learn and anticipate guest preferences, especially for VIPs and high-net-worth individuals.
• Support service recovery and communicate issues promptly to the GM.
3. Team Coordination & Training
• Support onboarding and training of junior FOH staff.
• Reinforce service procedures and cultural sensitivity.
• Help build a motivated, team-oriented working environment.
4. Inventory & Administrative Support
• Assist in inventory checks and control waste under the guidance of the GM.
• Help ensure order accuracy and product availability.
• Maintain daily service logs and assist with shift planning.
5. Brand & Events Support
• Assist in executing small-scale marketing or promotional initiatives as directed.
• Represent GAKU’s brand values in all guest interactions.
• Support preparation for VIP or private room experiences.
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
Experience
• Minimum 2–3 years in a fine-dining, luxury restaurant, or hotel environment.
• Experience in Japanese or performance-based dining is a plus.
• Candidates with 4+ years and proven leadership ability may be considered directly for Assistant Restaurant Manager.
Skills
• Strong service mindset, with attention to guest experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with both guests and colleagues.
• Able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Language Proficiency
• English fluency is required.
• Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Mandarin is a plus.
