Garment Technician (Fashion)

I. Technical Specification Development:1. Create and maintain detailed tech packs for each garment, including:Construction details;Bill of Materials (BOM);Measurement charts and grading rules;Label and packaging instructions.2. Update tech packs as needed during the development process in collaboration with the Pattern Maker.II. Fit and Sample Evaluation:Lead fit sessions, working closely with the Pattern Maker to evaluate garment prototypes for size, fit, and functionality;Analyze fit issues and recommend pattern adjustments or construction changes;Provide clear and actionable feedback to the Pattern Maker and manufacturers to implement fit revisions.III. Team Collaboration:Collaborate with designers and the Pattern Maker to ensure design vision aligns with technical execution;Partner with the Pattern Maker to ensure patterns meet construction and fit specifications;Work with R&D to ensure fabric and trim compatibility with design and pattern requirements.IV. Quality Assurance:Define and uphold quality standards for garment construction, fit, and finishing;Identify potential quality issues early and collaborate with the Pattern Maker and QA/QC teams to propose solutions;Ensure production garments align with approved samples and technical specifications.V. Vendor and Factory Communication:Provide clear technical guidance to factories and vendors to ensure accurate production;Address and resolve technical queries from production teams, involving the Pattern Maker when necessary.VI. Production Readiness:Review and approve pre-production samples (PPS) for quality and adherence to specifications;Ensure all final specifications are accurate and clearly communicated to manufacturing partners, with input from the Pattern Maker.
