As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented and experienced HR Manager to help drive our human resources strategies, focusing on recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and talent retention. A key aspect of this role will involve managing the recruitment of foreign teachers to support our diverse curriculum.Position Overview:The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the company, with a particular focus on the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of foreign educators. This role requires a proactive, culturally sensitive, and strategic HR professional who can manage both domestic and international recruitment processes, while ensuring compliance with immigration laws and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace environment for all staff.Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Staffing:o Foreign Teacher Recruitment: Manage and oversee the recruitment process for foreign teachers, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates from international markets.o Collaborate with international recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and other global talent pipelines to attract qualified foreign candidates.o Navigate and manage visa, work permit, and immigration processes for foreign hires, ensuring compliance with both local laws and international regulations.o Develop and maintain relationships with global recruitment partners, universities, and agencies specializing in teacher placement.o Coordinate all aspects of international hiring logistics, such as relocation assistance, housing, and travel arrangements for foreign staff.2. Employee Relations:o Act as the main point of contact for both foreign and local employees regarding HR-related matters, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace environment.o Resolve conflicts, manage employee grievances, and address issues related to cross-cultural differences and integration.o Advise employees and managers on HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with both local and international labor laws.3. Onboarding & Orientation:o Develop and implement an effective onboarding process tailored to both local and foreign employees, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication about company culture, expectations, and policies.o Organize cultural orientation sessions for foreign teachers to help them adapt to the local work environment and community.o Provide continuous support during the acclimatization process, including assistance with housing, transportation, and language barriers.4. Performance Management:o Oversee performance evaluations and assist managers in setting performance goals for all staff, including foreign teachers.o Identify training and development needs based on performance feedback and collaborate with leadership to create development plans.o Support managers in addressing performance issues, providing coaching, and fostering an environment of continuous learning.5. Learning & Development:o Develop and coordinate training programs to ensure both local and foreign staff have access to professional development opportunities.o Identify cross-cultural training opportunities for all employees to enhance teamwork and understanding between diverse staff members.o Organize workshops, webinars, and other learning initiatives to improve employee skills and engagement.6. Compensation & Benefits:o Oversee compensation administration for both local and foreign employees, ensuring alignment with market trends and company budget.o Manage benefits administration, including health insurance, pension plans, paid time off, and other perks.o Conduct compensation analysis and recommend adjustments based on market trends and company performance.o Handle expatriate compensation packages, which may include housing allowances, relocation benefits, and travel expenses.7. Compliance & Legal:o Ensure full compliance with labor laws, immigration regulations, and company policies for both local and foreign employees.o Keep up-to-date with changes in immigration laws and international regulations impacting foreign staff recruitment, visas, and work permits.o Maintain accurate employee records and ensure legal documentation, including contracts, work permits, and visas, is completed and updated regularly.o Support leadership in preparing for audits and ensure compliance with industry standards/ local labour law requirements8. HR Reporting & Metrics:o Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on key metrics such as turnover, retention, hiring sources, and diversity.o Analyze HR data to identify trends, and present recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement in HR practices.9. Company Culture & Engagement:o Foster a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture that values both local and international employees.o Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, morale, and retention, including team-building activities, wellness programs, and recognition initiatives.o Coordinate events, celebrations, and activities that enhance cross-cultural understanding and integration within the workforce.

Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent preferred).• 5+ years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years of experience managing international or foreign teacher recruitment.• Strong knowledge of immigration laws, visa requirements, and international labor standards.• Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compensation.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including cross-cultural and international employees.• Experience working in the education sector is a plus.• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Proficiency in HRIS systems, MS Office Suite, and other HR-related software.Why Join Us?At VIA English Academy, we are committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment.
