We are seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Help Desk Technician to provide technical support and resolve IT-related issues for internal users. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operation of IT systems, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to the efficiency of our IT operations.Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to employees via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot computer systems, printers, peripherals, and software applications.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or relevant teams while tracking progress to resolution.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in accordance with company policies.
Document all support requests, resolutions, and processes in the ticketing system.
Assist in maintaining IT inventory and ensuring equipment is operational.
Educate users on basic IT processes and best practices to enhance system usage.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security protocols.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1-2 years of experience in IT help desk or technical support roles (fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered).
Knowledge and ability to resolve issues with Windows, macOS, Linux operating systems, and common office software.
Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware troubleshooting.
Familiarity with ticketing systems is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist non-technical users effectively.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Professional are an advantage.
Working Conditions
Full-time position with standard office hours; occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for urgent support.
On-site role with potential for hybrid work depending on company policy.
