In addition to great products such as the mortgage or price calculator, we also offer editorial articles on topics such as housing and financing.We are looking for an Junior Android Engineer who is passionate about mobile development and eager to work on high-quality Android application. As a key contributor to our mobile engineering team, you will focus on delivering clean, efficient, and reliable code, working closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to deepen their Android expertise and contribute to complex projects in a supportive environment.Join our dynamic team, located in six countries (Switzerland, Serbia, Vietnam, France, Germany, and India), where creativity thrives. Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications, focusing on clean, maintainable code.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to implement new features and enhancements.
Participate in code reviews, learn from feedback, and apply best practices to improve code quality.
Write Unit and UI tests with guidance to ensure code reliability.
Learn and apply modern Android architecture patterns to build scalable features.
Continuously improve your skills and contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing culture.
Help identify and fix bugs, optimize performance, and support releases under the guidance of more experienced team members.
Stay curious and up-to-date with Android development trends, tools, and best practices.

What will you bring to the ride?
Fluency in English written and verbal communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
1+ year of experience developing Android applications in Kotlin (Java is a plus).
Basic understanding of Android components and tools (e.g., Activities, Fragments, Android Studio).
Some exposure to modern development practices such as MVVM, Jetpack components, or reactive programming is a plus.
Willingness to learn and apply best practices in mobile development, testing, and architecture.
Comfortable with consuming REST APIs and working with local storage (e.g., Room, SharedPreferences).
Curious, open-minded, and enthusiastic about growing in a collaborative team environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Exposure to CI/CD, version control (e.g., Git), or test automation frameworks.
Awareness of mobile app performance and monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, Datadog).
Familiarity with privacy, security, or accessibility in mobile apps.
