Laundry & Uniform Attendant

To handle the washing, sorting, spotting, dry cleaning and pressing guest laundry, uniform and room & F&B Linen

To maintain cleanliness of area and equipment

To have complete understanding of the Hotel Employee Handbook and to adhere to the Regulations contained therein

To have complete understanding of the Hotel’s policy related to fire, safety and health.

To report for duty punctually.

To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.

To maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues, and all other departments.

WASHING:

1. To prepare and start up all machine.

2. To prepare supplies and equipment

3. Clean collars cuffs, pockets and other badly soiled portions of items with detergent before machine washing.

4. Load proper number items into washing machine, adds detergent bleach sour and other cleaning agents; insert proper program card for operation of machine as required.

5. Operate tumblers ensuring proper weight of load and correctness of temperature.

6. Unload items upon completion of washing process.

7. Test all items with delicate material and make sure that special needs are referred to superior if any doubt before processing.

8. Coordinate with checker/marker on priority guest items to be laundered.

9. Inspect and sort washed items and forward them to either pressing or checking sections.

10. Assist in washing and drying hotel linen.

11. Shift personel in one job to another as necessary and with approval of superior.

12. Clean and maintain work area, report equipment malfunctions to superior.

13. Perform duties common to all non-supervisory personnel and other duties as may be assigned.

14. To maintain cleanliness of working area at all times.

15. Responsible for final sorting of items received by the checker marker.

16. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

17. Control the temperature by automatic system and know how about hot dry and cool dry

18. Fold all kinds of towels that need folding.

19. Transport all dried linens to folding area.

20. Assist in the laundry activities.

21. Attend training programs and section meeting

22. Clean and maintain work area and equipment

23. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Laundry Supervisor.

PRESSING

1. Prepare garments for pressing.

2. Dampen badly creased parts of garments.

3. Check that press machines are set at correct temperature for type of fabric.

4. To make sure that all articles are properly pressed and free from wrinkles.

5. Place pressed garment on a hanger and put on rack.

6. Advise the supervisor if any garments are in need of repair

7. Ensure the equipment is kept clean at all time.

8. Report any maintenance requirements to the Laundry Manager or Supervisor.

9. To report consumption of chemicals and supplies.

10. Perform additional duties and special requests as assigned.

VALET

1. Collect master key

2. Check logbook and take necessary action.

3. Prepare laundry pick up

4. Ask collection order from Order Taker.

5. Record room number during laundry collection.

6. Check the room numbers and amount of items (Guest count & Hotel count). Any shortages to report immediately.

7. Check all items for defects and items inside the pockets.

8. Count, check all guests laundry and mark the item with tag using the marking machines.

9. Separate items and place into different containers laundry, dry-cleaning or hand washes according to guest request.

10. Report any discrepancies of items to Order Taker.

11. Report any irregular matter/ case to Supervisor
