Manufacturing Engineer

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Suggest changes for manufacturing lines to improve performance, efficiency, up time, reduced down time- Manage ECOs for tooling, materials and process changes- Program PLC tools and equipment to drive tools to improve process efficiencies and enhanced SPC- Research and recommend material substitutions to ensure a stable material supply and drive reduced costs- Plan and design new product tech transfers, oversee, manage and verify all aspects of the transfer- Responsible for time studies to improve production efficiencies and accuracy in routings- Manage and oversee gage experiments and other quality metrics- Apply Lean and Six Sigma as a Black Belt- Develop and write internal documentation including drawing, standard operating procedures, process specifications, video training and other written documentation- Design DFMEA and PFMEA procedures and processes - Interface with other departments to improve capabilities and compliance- Design various other tools for vendors- Identify and implement improvements to process efficiencies to improve yields and scrap reduction- Design process control plans- Design SPC programs - Facilitate technical discussions between Quality Department, vendors, customers, and Design EngineeringGENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Ensure that purchasing ERP entries, internal systems and documents are properly managed- Analyze risks and apply risk mitigation- Ensure priorities and deadlines are met- Ensure compliance at all times with company policies and guidelines - Contribute to continuous improvements of manufacturing- Attend training classes as deemed necessary by the company- Train associates on various aspects of manufacturing processes and procedures- Understand safety requirements, procedures, and compliance- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment- Attend off-hour video conferences with US divisions- Always represent the company and its values in a professional and business like manner- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing
