Task 1: Material Sourcing & Development
- Oversee the entire process of collecting material information, including quality, price, MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), and lead time (LT), from vendors.
- Manage the creation of master charts for each style based on development TPs/BOMs.
- Directly communicate with buyers (e.g., Nike) to track and verify detailed material information in RMDS (Raw Material Data Sheet) against vendor confirmations.
- Manage the collection of testing reports, standards, and risk assessments (including limitations on heat and washing conditions) from vendors.
- Handle submissions to customers for material quality and lab dip approvals before bulk production orders.
- Lead the arrangement of in-house and external lab tests for materials with quality concerns.
- Collaborate with the product team and vendors to resolve any discrepancies found in item descriptions.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of the material library in the ERP system.
- Monitor and evaluate suppliers based on ISO requirements.
Task 2: Material Purchasing & Inventory Management
- Supervise the creation of material consumption charts for sample orders and ensure they are tracked and updated.
- Direct the team in creating purchase orders manually or through the ERP system for materials needed for sample orders.
- Verify details of performance invoices (PIs) against purchase orders and get approval before releasing orders.
- Oversee the tracking of material shipment documents and updating shipment info and HS codes in tracking sheets.
- Coordinate with the shipping department to track material arrival dates at the factory and update the tracking files.
- Manage the tracking of material payment status with the accounting department for shipment release.
- Direct the team to cross-check monthly inventory reports with the warehouse.
- Manage all input, output, and inventory data, and prepare detailed reports.
- Lead the balancing of materials for all sample orders.
- Communicate with vendors regarding any material shortages or replacements needed due to defects.
Task 3: Team Leadership & Other Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the material purchasing and material staff teams, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Make meeting recaps and follow up on pending issues.
- Attend management meetings and development activities meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on specific subjects.
- Oversee the preparation and sharing of material dashboards for relevant departments.
- Oversee the creation of fabric swatches and trims cards for cross-functional teams to use as a reference for bulk stages.
- Ensure the team attends internal and external training sessions
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
· Education: University degree in textile technology or a related field.
· Experience: At least >3 years of experience in a similar leadership role within a large-scale garment manufacturing company.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
o Strong understanding of ERP or similar data management systems.
o Excellent knowledge of material purchasing procedures and processes.
o Strong understanding of material consumption calculations.
o Extensive knowledge of the garment manufacturing field.
· Language Skills: English proficiency, with good reading, writing, listening, and communication skills.
