Short-term (initial period):Perform setup tasks similar to current team members based on established standardised procedures (e.g., configuring IoT gateways, edge computers, modems, routers, virtual networks, WiFi networks, etc.).Provide remote support (Tailscale + Rustdesk, SSH) for troubleshooting, particularly in terms of networking and Internet connectivity.Support equipment installations on remote sites, with an emphasis on ensuring networks and Internet connectivity are functioning as expected before installation is considered complete.Conduct basic Linux configuration and monitoring.Prepare and test hardware setups before deployment.Long-term:Support the adoption of greater automation in setup, testing, and remote monitoring.Manage, monitor, and support deployed IoT network systems to ensure high uptime.Design and optimise end-to-end networking solutions across multiple sites.Produce and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and training materials.Provide training and guidance for on-ground teams.Contribute to system optimisation for performance and cost efficiency.

Must-have:At least 3 – 5 years experience in networking fundamentals and experience across the full stack (switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, WiFi, wired networks, remote maintenance/monitoring).Hands-on Linux skills (installation, configuration, monitoring).Basic scripting (Python, Bash).Practical experience handling networking challenges for large data systems.Good teamwork skills, able to integrate into existing processes and workflows.We want someone with relevant experience who is quick and eager to learn.Nice to have (can be trained after onboarding):IoT gateway and edge computer experience.Familiarity with satellite internet (Starlink) and cellular networks.Exposure to farming/remote deployment environments.English and Other Requirements:Upper-Intermediate or higher.Able to read documentation, write reports, and communicate in meetings with international stakeholders.Spoken English required. In urgent cases, real-time communication may be needed, but escalation to Network and Support Manager will also be availableMonitor deployed systems, diagnose faults, and provide rapid response.Remote support may be required outside of normal working hours.
