Operations Manager

* Role SummaryAs an Operations Manager in our newly established forwarding company, you will play a key role in setting up the operations function from the ground up. This role combines hands-on execution with process development, and offers the opportunity to grow into a leadership position as the company expands.* Key Responsibilities• Set up operational processes, SOPs, and workflows for ocean freight forwarding.• Handle bookings with carriers/agents, confirm schedules and space allocation.• Coordinate with warehouses, truckers, and customs brokers for cargo receiving, container loading, and clearance.• Prepare and review shipping documents (B/L, invoices, packing lists) and ensure accurate system entries.• Manage cost settlements, invoicing, and documentation for audit compliance.• Act as the main contact for clients and overseas agents regarding shipment status and problem resolution.• Monitor operations performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve processes.• Build and lead a small team as the company grows.
