To uphold A La Carte standards and to be responsive to the instructions of the Head Chef/Pastry and Bakery Chef De Parties . The role of the Commis Chef will be to accommodate the dining requests and nutritional needs of all guests. The Commis Chef will be required to prepare all menu bakery and pastry items to the quality and standard of the hotel standard recipe cards/menus.
The Commis Chef will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel’s policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.

• Intermediate level of written and spoken English would be a advantage
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic working knowledge of local and international produce/cuisine would be a advantage
• Extensive knowledge of the hotel, pastry and bakery items
Some experience in Kitchen Operations, including Certificate in Pastry/Bakery cuisine
