Process And Maintenance Engineer

1. Process Optimization• Analyze and improve assembly processes for gearmotors and motor drives units to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assembly and testing processes, painting processes.• Collaborate with the production team to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline workflows.• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, yield, and defect rates, and take corrective actions as needed.• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor and resource utilization.2. Equipment Maintenance• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for plant Utilities equipment, machines, assembly line equipment, including gearmotor assembly machines, motor drives testing equipment, and conveyor systems.• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and spare parts procurement.• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during maintenance activities.3. Quality Assurance• Work closely with the relevant team to ensure that assembly processes meet quality standards and customer specifications.• Investigate and resolve quality issues related to assembly processes or equipment malfunctions.• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring issues.• Carry out FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements• Poka Yoke (error proofing) where possible to prevent errors• Undertake special projects as required• Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Undertake continuous training and development4. Training and Support• Train assembly fitters on proper assembly techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.• Provide technical support to the production team during equipment breakdowns or process deviations.• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.5. Project Management• Lead sub-projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, or new product introductions.• Prepare project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, production, and supply chain, to achieve project goals.
