Our mission now is to build direct-to-consumer brands and increase customer LTV.Position overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the production process, from planning to inspection, while directly engaging with suppliers and vendor factories. The role entails effective communication and coordination with multiple departments, including sourcing and purchasing, accounts, production, and shipping. The Production Merchandiser will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers by fostering strong relationships with suppliers and overseeing production activities closely.WHAT YOU WILL DOSupplier Identification & EvaluationSource potential suppliers/factories in China through market research and network outreachDevelop criteria for vetting new suppliers on production capabilities, quality systems, lead times, etc.Assess supplier facilities and conduct capability auditsSourcing executionAnalyse new product request from R&D team and start end-to-end sourcing projects including product match assessment, price negotiations, contractsFollow up sourcing activities to ensure on-time delivery of ordersKeep tracking on sale volume of the product and proactively expand sourcing scope to ensure capability of order fulfillment from suppliersProduction PlanningDevelop and implement production plans to meet our sale demands and deadlinesMaintain a detailed record of each production request, including specifications, deadlines, and any special requirementsOversee yarn purchasing, knitting, dyeing, printing, sampling, production processes, and inspectionCoordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and componentsMonitor and track the progress of production programs and take necessary actions to address any issues or delaysCoordinate with relevant departments to address any issues or delays that may arise during the production processMonitoring Payment RequestsKeep track of payment requests related to production activities, including raw materials procurement, manufacturing services, and logisticsEnsure that payment requests are submitted accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established payment schedules and protocolsCommunicate with account and finance departments to verify the status of payment requests and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptlyProduction ManagementOversee sampling, production processes, and inspectionCoordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and componentsMonitor and track the progress of production programs and take necessary actions to address any issues or delaysDocumentation and ReportingMaintain accurate records of production activities, including orders, schedules, and inventoryGenerate reports on production metrics, performance, and quality for management review
