Project Manager (for University)

JOB SUMMARYThe Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. In addition to managing projects, this role requires taking over and stabilizing current university operations, ensuring a seamless transition to the new management team. The PMO will coordinate resources, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that all project objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Planning• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful delivery.Project Execution• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.• Work closely with academic and administrative departments to maintain continuity in operations.• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements for better effectiveness.• Ensure compliance with educational regulations, accreditation requirements, and institutional policies.Team Coordination• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.• Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, including academic, finance, HR, and IT.• Address and resolve issues affecting project and operational success.Quality Assurance• Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.Purpose of the role:The purpose of this role is to ensure the successful completion of projects by:• Planning and executing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.• Coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.• Managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.• Identifying and managing project risks and issues.• Ensuring project quality and implementing best practices.
