Assist in the pricing comparison, ensuring bid completion and the basic coordination of purchasing process. What you will do:
1. Ensure proper authorization has been obtained for all hotel-specific purchasing contracts and conduct, manage and complete competitive bids in accordance with policy and ensure bids are on file where applicable prior to execution of contracts (25%)
2. Constantly keep abreast of new products, services and processes and consult with hotel management on feasibility of implementation. (25%)
3. Ensure all purchase order requests are properly documented and accounted for, completed and approved before a purchase order is prepared and items are purchased (20%)
4. Monitor status of slow-moving stocks and ensure a Slow-Moving Stocks Report is clirculated monthly to Director of Finance and Director of Purchasing. (10%)
5. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. (10%)
6. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. (10%)

Experience: Experienced in similar position, preferably in the hospitality industry
Skills and Abilities:
• Requires a working knowledge of purchasing procedures including purchase orders and inventory procedures.
• Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications.
• Ability to read and speak and write English.
