- To manage all purchasing requirements of the Hotel ensuring the Purchasing Policy and Procedure for the Hotel is followed and adhered to.
- Establish product specifications with relevant Department Heads.
- Conduct interviews with suppliers, representatives and obtains information, specification, quotations, on any items required and handles subsequent correspondence and negotiates for procurement.
- Select suppliers impartially based upon cost, ability to meet product specifications, efficiency and quality of their operations, delivery on a timely basis as required and ability to source goods locally to avoid lengthy importation delays.
- Placing orders with supplier to ensure timely delivery to satisfy hotel requirements and to trace delivery to ensure operational needs are met.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and advising operating departments of status Study and analyze market changes in terms of products and prices. Anticipate drastic market fluctuations which might affect the hotel supply or its costs.
- Control and verify all other expenses incurred by purchasing department staff and approve their respective expense vouchers (other than house bank transactions).
- Coordinate and follow-up all hotel needs with other outside parties, especially the owning co.
- Liaising with suppliers, representatives. Visits the market for pricing information and availability of product.
- Maintaining food purchasing specifications, conduct regular in sections of incoming goods for weight, quality and quantity, minimum and maximum stock levels, reordering size, delivery lead time etc to enable efficient inventory management.
- Analyses market trends to anticipate likely price fluctuations, for the purpose of maintaining inventory either for long or short time periods.
- Understand and adhere to relevant workplace health and safety standards. Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety legislation, and related Hotel and Starwood Policies.
- Adhere to all Marriott food safety procedures and keep a register of all suppliers and follow up with regular supplier premises inspections.
- Align management style, working practices and conduct with Sheraton Danang's Vision, hotel policies. To comply with Sheraton Code of Conduct at all times.
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
- University Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain/Logistics.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required, depending on the size of the property.
