The Sales Manager – MICE/Event Planner is responsible for driving event-related business opportunities, building strong relationships with corporate and event clients, and maximizing revenue across Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions, and social functions.
This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented professional who excels in client service, event planning coordination, and proactive sales activities to represent Mövenpick’s premium hospitality service.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Planning & Organizing
- Plan and execute sales trips, trade shows, exhibitions, and MICE promotional events as directed by DOSM
- Arrange site inspections, venue show-rounds, and host familiarization trips for potential MICE clients.
- Coordinate closely with Event Management Team for pre- and post-event meetings to ensure smooth operations
- Develop and maintain a strong database of MICE clients for future business opportunities.
- Ensure selling strategies and rate guidelines are strictly followed during negotiations.
B. Operations
- Maintain minimum weekly sales activities (approx. 25 client calls/visits, 2 client entertainments)
- Solicit and service MICE groups, including corporate meetings, product launches, weddings, and large-scale events.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close business for meetings and events.
- Work closely with Events Management, F&B, Front Office, and Banquet teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Attend the start of key events for accounts handled to ensure client satisfaction
- Respond to all business inquiries within 24 hours
- Identify new prospects, conduct competitor research, and develop sales action plans for existing and potential accounts.
- Provide sales leads for other Mövenpick hotels when appropriate.
- Monitor account performance, revenue, and market trends; share intelligence with DOSM
C. Client Relationship Management
- Build strong, positive relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding organizers, and travel trade partners.
- Maintain updated client profiles, event histories, and contact databases.
- Conduct Thank-You calls and letters after events, ensuring post-event follow-up and future business development
D. Administration
- Submit weekly sales activity reports and event progress updates to DOSM
- Ensure all account information, contracts, and communication are accurately maintained in the CRM system.
- Prepare forecasting, sales reports, and pipeline updates when required.
- Attend departmental briefings, sales meetings, and communication updates.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience in hotels; strong advantage for those with MICE/event background.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese; strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, contract management, and pricing strategy understanding.
- Knowledge of hotel PMS, CRM, and sales software (S&C, Microsoft Office)
