The teamWe are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to enhance our database systems with a focus on security, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable data solutions to support critical business operations.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and software engineers to understand their data needs and translate them into effective and efficient data models.
Ensure database security by implementing best practices for access control, encryption, and data protection.
Optimize database performance, identifying bottlenecks and improving query execution.
Focus on cost optimization, balancing performance with infrastructure expenses, particularly in cloud environments

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in database design, development, and administration.
Strong experience with data warehousing and data lakehouse technologies AWS Redshift or Databricks.
Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, star schema).
Experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL/ELT tools, data pipelines).
Experience with cloud computing platforms AWS is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
