Senior Merchandiser Samples Devt / Bulk Production / Sourcing / Costing

In charge of several customers’ accounts within the company and recruitment and supervision of junior merchandisersSamples development• In charge of liaising with suppliers in china and vietnam for ordering fabric yardages and trims as required• In charge of getting all of them on time versus schedule• Responsible for gathering related invoices and fapiaos from suppliers and pass them to accounting department• In charge of liaising with designers + pattern maker + sewing team in sample room to set up and meet the production samples’ calendar• In charge of checking samples to ensure compliance in every details and measuring• Measurements and other follow up tables to be filled in and updated• In charge of booking courrier to ship samples in europe to customersOpen costs / quoting • In charge of keeping the supplier’s database up to date at all time• Actively report all suppliers’ performance issues, assist in sourcing and evaluating new suppliers in china / vietnam / korea region for fabric, trims and accessories as necessary.• Support and follow up with factories for “best” terms - including costing, delivery dates, payment terms, etc. - for the company.• Responsible for liaising with suppliers to get all fabrics / trims / accessories prices• Produce and update open costs based on various possible order quantities• Responsible for keeping that database updated at all timeBulk production follow up - in charge of several customers’ accounts• Report directly to the company management• Manage the entire bulk production life cycle with china and / or vietnam suppliers up to the shipment• Work closely with factories in order to ensure they fully and accurately understand requirements for all tech. Packs, time lines, pricing, packaging, testing, delivery deadlines, quality standards and compliance.• Responsible for providing customer’s guidelines to factories and monitoring their strict application during the whole bulk production process.• Ensure with suppliers that bulk yardage, accessories and trims are delivered on time to ensure agreed delivery date is met• Follow up all requested samples and on time delivery• Liaise with the sample room to get the sample checked and responsible for putting together the report and for sending it to the customer• Liaise between factories and qc 3rd party to ensure all garments’ quality requirements are met during inline and final check• Support in monitoring all delivery related issues: responsible for execution and weekly updates in writing for all pos, and ensure timely and accurate information is given to the management team.• Follow up with other members of the team in charge of documentation, shipping and logistics issues, to ensure on time ex-factory and boarding of vessel.
