Supplier Quality Inspector

BASIC FUNCTIONProvide supplier quality project support to Strategic Sourcing and NPD teams in establishing & utilizing Supplier Quality procedures, processes and systems which drive consistency throughout the organization. Performs the Quality Project tasks described for assignments of moderate scope with some direction from their supervisor. This individual should enjoy being a change agent and a solid time management planner with the capability of applying fundamental quality techniques in multiple projects, and shall be actively developing skills in product, process and system related techniques.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESAct as the Quality representative on procurement teams:1. Manage supplier inspection plan2. Perform Quality inspection to ensure that all Kohler requirements have been met3. Support in Supplier Print/Process Reviews, process capability and gage studies4. Support monitor and measurement of Kohler supplied gages to supply base5. Support Supplier Quality Associates in problem resolution: Support investigations and verification of issues, identify root cause and resolve by utilizing relevant best practices for solution6. Support Supplier Initial Risk Assessment activities to mitigate the risks to Kohler7. Identify opportunities for process improvement activities to improve supplier yield.
