Position Purpose
The Hotel Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with various departments, and implementing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Duties & Key Responsibilities
• Guest Services: Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction by addressing guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including front desk activities, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services. Ensure all areas are functioning smoothly and efficiently.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the hotel budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service throughout the hotel. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry regulations.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and ensuring proper storage and handling of materials.
• Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Marketing and Sales: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to attract and retain guests. Monitor occupancy rates and adjust pricing strategies as needed.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on hotel performance, including occupancy rates, revenue, and guest feedback, to senior management.
