The AI Leader will grow and lead a team providing AI solution, data science, machine learning and deep learning.
You will be responsible for establishing a new function with CTO and will be expert in using data to model complex problem with a clear understanding of the customer impact and business impact.
- Involve to Educa's product roadmap and high-level design blueprint architecture and detailed system specification.
- Grow, mentor and lead the AI and data engineering team. Ensuring that team members are clear about expected standards of performance, motivated and developed to provide effective and efficient services.
- Building on the Educa’s AI roadmap, lead the development of the Educa AI and data science vision, strategy and capability plan.
- Give the advise/suggestion to Educa’s data platform, and integrate the latest data models and data pipelines, establishing a model management approach that is best in class for responsible data use.
- Provide expertise in statistics and probability, and the evaluation of data use, algorithms and models by external organisations. developing an approach to critical data science forensics to support the Educa’s ability to regulate the use of AI.
- Lead AI Engineer designs and develops scalable solutions using AI tools and machine-learning models.
- Performs research and testing to develop machine learning algorithms and predictive models.
- Being a Lead AI Engineer utilizes big data computation and storage tools to create prototypes and datasets. Conducts model training and evaluation. Additionally, Lead AI Engineer integrates, tests, tunes, and monitors solutions.
- Collaborate with other regulators to identify and respond to common challenges, and build common capability and approaches
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

- Requires a bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent
- Significant (5 years +) experience in AI, data science and its ethical impact/policy implications
- Significant experience of recruiting, establishing and managing a data science / AI team
- Significant experience of developing a data strategy and data governance approach
- Significant experience of designing, developing, deploying and managing algorithms, models, and model management approaches
- Significant experience of delivering machine learning and data analysis projects. Generating data insights and ethical and responsible use impact assessments
- Experience of the latest privacy preserving machine learning techniques and related technologies
- Experience of developing new approaches to managing and mitigating ethical and responsible use issues with AI and data
- Experience of writing business cases, strategies, roadmaps and presenting to senior stakeholders at C-Suite level
Job skills:
Research skills, analytical abilities, problem-solving strengths, communication skills, computer abilities, organizational strengths, skills in time management and teamwork building
Technical Skills:
- Good at Machine Learning Algorithms even from new papers and able to implement its algorithms ( is an advantage)
- Proficient with multiple AI tools such as Python, Go, Java, R, machine learning framework like Spark, TensorFlow, or sciket-learn. (must have)
- Design and develop AI solutions: Image processing, NLP, Recommendation (must have with SaaS)
- Experience and very good with NLP (must have)
- Able to solve ed-tech's complex problems with ML/DL
- Excellent analytical skills, data presentation skills and data visualisation ability
- Excellent technical skills in a related field/discipline – with the ability to write and interpret code, and explain code to non-coders
- Experience of designing and deploying distributed compute services
- Knowledge of threat and risk assessment processes and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills including the ability to explain technical matters to a nontechnical audience, at C-suite level
