Job summary –
• The General Cashier is responsible for the timely and accurate deposition of cash daily. He/she is responsible to ensure that all cash policies and procedures of the hotel are adhered to.
Essential duties and responsibilities – (Key activities)
• Prepare cashier exchanges daily and on a timely basis.
• Prepare daily bank deposits on timely and accurate basis.
• Prepare and present specific financial data to the Assistant Financial Controller’s office daily.
• Check all cashiers’ float regularly.
• Complete any special projects assigned by the Assistant Financial Controller on a timely basis.
• Prepare the daily General Cashier Report.
• Inform the Financial Controller or Assistant Financial Controller of any major cashier overages or shortages daily.
• Making accurate record of petty cash reimbursement and submit to the Chief Accountant for analysis.
• Making accurate record of cash distribution and cash amount of moneybag.
Other standard responsibilities
• Complies to the company policies.
• Works within all pre-set budgetary limits.
• Takes on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.
• Develops and updates policies and manuals, as related to the division/department, for implementation in the field, while ensuring compliance to the same for consistency across the group.
• Actively participates in and leads recruitment and talent development for the division/department, to meet both current and future needs
• Is always a “brand ambassador” and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.
• Models the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.

Qualifications –
• University graduate with major in accounting
• Working permit in accounting
• Additional improvement programs in Finance is desired
Experience –
• Good knowledge in cash handling
• Basic computer operating skill
• At least 5 years’ working experience in international class hotel
• 3 years’ working experience in a similar capacity is preferred
• Knowledge in Opera is required
