MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
- The Travel & Tours department is the dedicated, end-to-end owner of all Travel & Tours product curation, implementation, and sales within Mad Monkey. This department is also responsible for the daily operations of a Madventures Travel & Tours desk in each property.
- The Regional Tours & Travel Sales Manager is responsible for the regional expansion of the Travel & Tours department, with a primary focus on driving sales, increasing revenue, and expanding external partnerships. They will implement sales strategies, build relationships with external partners, and enhance the team’s ability to maximize tour sales and revenue.
- A key function of this role is to develop partnerships with local travel agents, boutique hotels, and small-to-medium hostels across Vietnam that do not have their own tour offerings. These partnerships will act as distribution channels for Mad Monkey’s signature Ha Giang Loop tour and other travel products. The Regional Tours & Travel Sales Manager will be responsible for setting KPI-driven sales targets, with bonuses tied to performance.
- This role also involves overseeing internal hostel-based sales efforts, ensuring that the Tour & Travel sales teams are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with Mad Monkey’s overall revenue goals. Additionally, the manager will develop seasonal sales strategies to capitalize on peak travel periods and special events.

PRODUCT GOAL:
- Optimize Travel & Tours product mix, sales channels, and desk operations in all properties.
- Increase same-hostel travel & tours sales by 50% in 2025 based on 2024 results.
- Achieve revenue target for each year coming aligned with approved annual budget plan
- Strengthen external sales channels through new partnerships.
- Maximize revenue and profitability of Madventures Travel & Tours.
PRODUCT VISION:
- Utilize Mad Monkey’s brand strength, resources, and network to develop an exclusive portfolio of travel experiences.
- Expand into a regional leader for multi-day tours, catering primarily to backpackers and adventure seekers.
- Maintain a strong online presence while prioritizing in-person sales and partnerships as key revenue drivers.
- Achieve two-thirds of total tour revenue from a combination of direct bookings, partnerships, and online sales.
- Ensure that Tours & Travel revenue surpasses Food & Beverage sales within the region.
- Work closely with global and regional marketing stakeholders to optimize branding, sales campaigns, and visibility across all platforms.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Revenue Growth -50%
- Expand external sales by developing partnerships with local travel agents, boutique hotels, and hostels without existing tour offerings.
- Negotiate partnership agreements, commission structures, and incentive-based sales models.
- Set and monitor KPIs for external sales partners, ensuring revenue growth targets are met.
- Implement seasonal and event-driven sales campaigns to optimize revenue throughout the year.
- Lead sales training programs for all internal hostel teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and selling techniques.
Travel & Tour Product Ownership
- Curate and optimize Madventures Travel & Tours product mix per property to maximize revenue.
- Ensure all Travel & Tours products are aligned with Madventures brand standards.
- Identify opportunities to create and optimize high-quality, high-profit tour products.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue, and Development teams to increase product visibility and sales across multiple channels.
- Strategically set up Travel & Tours desks in each property to drive sales.
Internal Sales & Training
- Drive hostel-based tour sales by training and managing internal Tour & Travel teams.
- Oversee the operations of dedicated Travel & Tours desks, ensuring they are open for a minimum of 12 hours per day.
- Create a high-performance, sales-driven culture within the Travel & Tours team.
- Measure and track sales performance through KPIs for internal sales teams.
Travel & Tours Operations
- Ensure all products comply with Tour Approval Requirements & Safety Regulations.
- Maintain competitive pricing and break-even analysis for all tour products.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimize pricing and availability.
- Work closely with the Revenue team to update product listings on the Tour Management System (TMS).
Customer Experience & Reputation Management
- Ensure seamless guest experiences by optimizing tour logistics and resolving issues promptly.
- Drive guest engagement to generate positive online reviews and recommendations.
- Support the Guest Experience team in promoting and collecting payments for nightly events.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
- Ensure all tours comply with health & safety regulations and that all legal waiver forms are signed.
- Conduct regular safety audits of tours and transportation providers.
- Train all staff on emergency response procedures and risk assessments.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Total Revenue Growth – Achieve sales targets for both internal and external sales channels.
- External Partner Performance – Increase partnerships and track their sales contributions.
- Regional Travel & Tours EBITDA – Drive profitability and margin improvements.
- Customer Satisfaction – Monitor reviews and guest feedback scores.
- Training & Development – Ensure all sales teams are consistently trained and evaluated.

- Experience in an equivalent position in a restaurant/bar in a hotel/hostel/resort environment is an advance.
- Agility, honesty, effective communication skills, willingness to work in shifts, overtime, public holidays.

- Company will pay full insurance fee and base on actual salary. And insurance will be applied from the first working month.
